Behind the Scenes: Nick Spencer was the original writer on this arc of Supergirl. However, he was pulled off the title at the last moment, leading to James Peaty writing these issue. As part of his plans for Supergirl to form a team of superheros, Batgirl would have featured much more prominantly in these issues, as seen on the solicited covers by Amy Reeder:
