Crystal Brown: "I'm surprised you've turned out as wonderful as you are, Stephanie."
Robin must rescue his conspiracy-loving friends from the all-too-real terror of Steel Jacket. Plus, Tim Drake confronts shocking news about one of his classmates!
Summary of Stephness: Robin fights against Steel Jacket and won the battle while freeing his friends. Meanwhile Stephanie talks with her mother. She worries that she is a disappointment to her mother, but her mother assures her that she is very proud and thinks Stephanie is handling her pregnancy well and being strong.
Stephanie goes to do math homework despite feeling very nauseous.
A few hours later, Stephanie calls Robin and asks if he will take her to Lamaze classes, since her mother is busy. Robin is flabbergasted.
The next day at school, Philmont is being harassed by a bully. Tim wants to intervene, but Ives convinces him not to. Tim watches the bullies take Philmont into the woods, unable to intervene for fear of blowing his secret.
A few hours later, Tim is called by the principal, and so is Ives. Tim learns that Philmont has been found dead, and quickly gives the names of the bullies Philmont left with. He is racked with guilt and anger over the fact he didn't help Philmont. "Robin would have helped him", Tim thinks, "But Robin wasn't there."
