Summary of Stephness: The action continues with Tim Drake tracking the kidnappers of his friend, Kip. He was knocked out in pursuit but manages to escape a crowd of onlookers. He finds his roommate, Miss Bigelow, and another of his friends and they discover Kip had a history of gambling and won way too much. Tim leaves to track down Kip as Robin.
He goes to the Clocktower and finds Oracle and Black Canary and Spoiler. Robin asks to use Babs' computer to track down Kip, and Stephanie asks if she can tag along. He replies sure. Dinah Lance remarks they make a pretty cute couple. Babs, who is trying to solve the Bruce Wayne's alleged killing, shushes her.
Robin uses Babs' "Search Monster" to locate the gambling company after Kip. Steph accompanies him to rescue his friend.
Kip is tied up and blindfolded and accused of cheating by the website-owner. It turns out Kip just found a way to predict the system, but the webmaster decides to kill them anyway. Tim and Steph arrive just in time to stop him, and Kip never sees the whole thing because he's blindfolded. They leave him tied up and Tim calls the police. The next day, police bring Kip to his parents. Just then, Tim receives a call from Jack Drake- the Drakes have lost most of their money and they're broke. Tim will have to leave Brentwood.
