Tim: "Then you make the hardest call of all. To the girl you love, but shouldn't. Who has hurt you as much as you've hurt her."
A “Batman: Last Rites” tie-in and featuring an “Origins and Omens” backup story! Gotham City has found a new hero and his name is Robin – but with a battle for Batman's cowl looming, is Tim Drake ready to become something more? Guest-starring Jason Todd and Lady Shiva. And don’t worry, this final issue doesn’t mark the end of Robin – it’s just the start of an all-new beginning!
Summary of Stephness: In the Batcave, Tim recaps last issue, thinking how Stephanie almost killed him because she loves him, and how because he loves her he won't let her be Spoiler anymore. (Even though nothing Steph did came close to killing him. Scarab wasn't a threat until Red Robin hired her, and Tim stumbled into The General's trap on his own, not because of Steph. Whatever, Tim is an irrational mess at this point which is why he even thinks he can control Steph's life)
Thinking he could possibly die the next day in a battle with Lady Shiva, Tim calls Stephanie to tell her he's sorry (even though a part of him isn't) and he wishes things could have worked out differently (even though he chose how they went). Stephanie sees "Alvin Draper" calling on her cell phone, but doesn't answer. Instead, she glances inscrutably at her Spoiler costume. Tim doesn't leave a message.
