With Tim Drake targeted for assassination, will Red Robin have to eliminate his secret identity? Or is it all part of an elaborate ruse to draw out the lethal Egyptian assassin known as Scarab and get Vicki Vale off his trail?
Summary of Stephness: Tim needs information about the Scarab, so he visits Steph in the Batcave. He watches Steph train, noting that seeing her in the costume makes him completely understand the sexual tension between the original Robin and Batgirl. Steph asks him why he wants to bring up the whole Scarab mess again after all she's done to put that behind them, and he lets her know it's noting like that, and he just needs to know what she knows for a plan he's hatching. She somersaults off the high bars, saying if Scarab's in town, Steph wants a piece of her. Tim informs her that if his plan fails, he'll be dead, and Scarab will be all hers. Steph snaps "That's not funny" and Tim replies "who said I was joking?" They pool information, both deciding the villain is Egyptian and Steph lets Tim know about Scarab's Middle East contacts so he can track the woman down.
Behind the scenes: Scarab is the assassin who got Steph fired when she was Robin in Robin #128.
